Vsebino greznic in MKČN se odvaža na centralno čistilno napravo Piran, kjer se jo nadalje obdeluje. Pri obdelavi nastane trdni odpadek, ki se ga preda pooblaščenim izvajalcem in odpadna voda, ki se jo očisti na sami čistilni napravi. Strošek storitve se obračunava mesečno pri porabi pitne vode in je odvisen od količine porabljene pitne vode.
Praznjenje greznic in malih čistilnih naprav se izvaja na podlagi pisnega obvestila, ki ga lastnikom pošlje Javno podjetje OKOLJE Piran, d.o.o., ali na podlagi naročila s strani lastnika objekta. Za izvedbo praznjenja mora lastnik objekta omogočiti nemoten dostop specialnemu komunalnemu vozilu.
